Some of the most valuable opportunities for learning happen during the most ordinary parts of the day. - Getting dressed. - Preparing breakfast. - Tidying toys. - Walking outside. - Pouring a drink. - Helping with washing. - Having a conversation. This workshop helps parents and caregivers recognise these opportunities and use everyday routines to encourage independence, communication, confidence and responsibility. What We’ll Explore: • Encouraging age-appropriate independence • Self-help skills • Dressing and getting ready • Mealtimes • Helping prepare food • Tidying and caring for belongings • Offering appropriate choices • Giving children responsibility • Communication through everyday interactions • Outdoor learning • Encouraging problem-solving • Knowing when to help and when to wait • Creating routines children can participate in Practical Element We'll look at your child's actual day. Morning routine → mealtimes → play → outings → bath → bedtime. Rather than adding more activities, we'll identify small opportunities already within that routine where your child can participate, practise skills and become increasingly independent.
