No two children play, explore or engage in exactly the same way
So why should their play experiences be one-size-fits-all?
Our one-on-one personalised play sessions are thoughtfully created around your child, combining their individual interests with carefully selected activities and resources to create a play experience that is completely unique to them.
A dedicated space to slow down, explore, create and simply enjoy the magic of play.

Their Pace. Their Interests. Their Play.
In a group, the activity has to move on. In a 1:1 session, your child doesn't.
If something captures their attention, we can stay with it. If something isn't working, we change it. There is no pressure to keep up, perform or follow a rigid structure.
The experience follows the child — not the timetable.

What Can We Support?
Sometimes you know your child could benefit from a little extra support, but you’re not quite sure what that looks like. Perhaps they find it difficult to play independently, lose interest quickly, are still developing their communication, avoid certain sensory experiences, or you simply aren’t sure what activities are right for them. Our 1:1 sessions start with your child as an individual, using purposeful play to gently support the areas that matter most to them.
-
Independent Play: Encouraging your child to explore, engage and play with greater confidence and independence.
-
Communication & Language: Creating playful opportunities to encourage words, sounds, interaction and conversation.
-
Confidence: Supporting your child to explore, try new things, problem-solve and build confidence through play
-
Movement: Creating opportunities to develop crawling, coordination, balance and whole-body movement.
-
Fine Motor Skills: Building strength and coordination in little hands through grasping, threading, transferring and manipulating.
-
Sensory Exploration: Introducing different textures and sensory experiences gently, following your child’s individual comfort and pace.
-
School Readiness: Building important foundations such as independence, attention, communication and fine motor skills through play.

A Little About Who You'll Be Welcoming Into Your Home
Hi, I’m Hannah — founder of The Child Unplugged, a qualified teacher, mum of three and passionate advocate for learning through play.
For more than eight years, I’ve worked with children and families, creating meaningful play experiences that encourage curiosity, confidence, independence and development. Alongside my teaching background, I’ve continued my training across areas including sensory play, Montessori, therapeutic play, baby massage and nature-based learning.
But when I come into your home, it isn’t about arriving with a checklist of what your child should be doing. It’s about getting to know your child — what interests them, how they naturally play, where they feel confident and where they may benefit from a little more support.
I’ll bring the activities, resources and ideas, but most importantly, I’ll bring the time and space to follow your child’s lead — and give you practical ideas you can continue long after I leave.
