Notes:

This activity is simple, low cost, teaches mathematical and science concepts (i.e. ratios, measurement and properties of materials), and is a messy play activity that is extremely popular with kids.

Benefits:

While the recipe process can be unnerving, the truth is that playing with slime is beneficial for kids. Not only is it an amazing, tactile sensory experience, it also promotes mindfulness, helps children focus, encourages them to play independently, promotes fine motor skills, and is calming.

Ways to adapt:

Keep the fun going and create curiosity in the children by adding measuring cups, bowls, plastic cups etc. for them to fill and pour. These measuring skills help in developing mathematical concepts. Encourage them to reflect on what they are doing and you will help them develop a love of learning.
