Ideas

There are so many different you can incorporate Montessori activities outside (or inside) that focus on nature. Here are a few examples

  • Flower arranging

  • Planting seeds

  • Looking for insects

  • Making a worm farm

  • Watering

  • Feeding the birds etc

  • Explore life cycles

Instructions:

As mentioned there are lots of different activities but this is my favorite: Allow your child to explore the garden and outdoor, give them a basket to collect whatever they wish and then when back inside (or weather permitting you stay outside) you can talk about all the different pieces, where they came from, why we need them and get them to make parterres with them.

Benefits:

Studies have shown that there are many benefits of introducing gardening to kids at age toddlers to preschoolers. Through garden play, children acquire and improve crucial skills, have fun, and develop self-confidence all the while enjoying a nature-friendly childhood in the Montessori way.

Tips:

If you are looking for printable resource sheets or specific tools do get in touch so I can share with you
